Heath Shuler Wins NC Primary

Former Redskins QB.....and bust....Heath Shuler won a congressional Democratic primary in North Carolina.

He next goes against Charles Taylor for the 11th district congressional seat.

Before the Peyton Manning Era at Tennessee.....Heath Shuler was Da Man at Big Orange.  Being so, the Redskins made him their top pick and he was supposed to lead the Redskins in the post-Mark Rypien years.  Didn't happen.  Everyone hated him.....he was shipped off the New Orleans...and the Skins started off getting QBs that they couldn't develop [Gus Frerrotte, Trent Green] but are still in the NFL today.  To this day, Shuler's name represents that Dark Time in Redskins lore....the mid-to-late 1990s.

It ain't John Calapari.  It ain't Rick Barnes.  It ain't Steve Lavin.  It's Sidney Lowe.

Sidney Lowe is a former NC State player, and a former head coach of the NBA's Grizzlies and Timberwolves.  He will be the next head coach of the NC State Wolfpack.
