T.O. Is Now A Cowboy

So...what does this mean?

Well, from a football only standpoint....it is very good move.  They dumped Keyshawn and added Owens, meaning the essentially trade up in the Problem Receiver Department.  No one out there disputes Owens greatness between the lines.

But how will he do with the team's chemistry?  It remains to be seen.  Look, as a Redskin fan....I don't like Dallas.  But Dallas has that great knack of being able to have guys like this and get thru all of it.  They've had troubled guys in the past....and they've been to more Super Bowls than any franchise.  It can work.  But will it?

Owens fights with Pro Bowl QBs [ah, but aren't they Pro Bowl QBs because of Owens???] and coaches.  While Drew Bledsoe is more accomplished than either Jeff Garcia or Donovan McNabb....unlike them, he's not in his prime.  He's on the downside of his career and he's not the mobile QB that the others are.  In San Fran and Philly, the QBs could scramble, by time and get the ball to Owens, who at that time has shook his man off.  Bledsoe isn't that way.  He'll check down to his other receivers....throw the ball away....or just get sacked.  That could be damaging to a possibly shaky Bledsoe-Owens relationship.

Remember, Bledsoe is a guy that will challenge his receivers.

And the coach.  While Steve Mariucci and Andy Reid are fine, fine coaches in their own right....neither hold a candle to Bill Parcells.  So that dynamic is interesting.  Will Owens quell some of his crap because of Parcells??  Or will Parcells get under TO's skin unlike anything that Owens has experienced??

As a Skins fan, of course I hope it blows up in the Cowboys face.  But I don't think it will.  Not this coming year.  I think everything will be cool and Owens could have a Pro Bowl season and Dallas get into the playoffs.  In the gruling NFC East, anything could happen.  But, I also think there will be some chinks in the armor showing up that could lay down the foundation for something bad down the road.

But, for now....Cowboys fans should rejoice.

Sportz-
You are saying the very same things we Cowboys fans are saying... We have no clue how this thing is going to work Here is the only thing I can add to what you just said.

I have watched Jerry Jones very closely since he gave Tex Schram and Tom Landry the exit door. Jerry Jones is not at all afraid to make bold moves.

I watched the press conference today and the only thing I can tell you is I have never seen Jerry more confident of a move, I have never seen him more sincere in his statements (if sincereity is the correct word).

Parcells will get in TO's grill...no two ways about it. Rosenhouse I'm sure has preped TO for that.

Here's the bottom line. Has there ever been a 20 game winning pitcher traded the same year? No, teams aren't stupid. Everyone agrees TO has been a headache in the past. But how many of us have had to start over and was thankful it was a brand new day? This could very well blow up in our face. But we have had Keyshawn for 2 years and we didn't make the playoffs. I say roll the dice, what the hell.

I think that T.O will work out with the Dallas organization. Redskin's fans are just upset because they already have problems with Dallas and there problems just got worst with the addition of T.O.

Dallas should trade Nancy Drew Bledsoe for a statue... they'd save a lot of money without sacrificing any mobility.
