The Best And Worst Of The NFL

Well, two weeks of the NFL season are down….and we have 18 teams at 1-1. Well, that happens. We also have 7 teams at 2-0, and 7 teams at 0-2. Every year, there is some pleasant surprises at 2-0 and some big disappointment at 0-2.

WHO IS 2-0???

[Either the Vikings or Eagles], Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars.

TEAM MOST LIKELY TO STAY REALLY GOOD: Seattle Seahawks. The Patriots probably will too…but Seattle has already won TWO road games. One against offensive minded N’Awlins and the other against defensive minded Tampa. They’ve really played well on defense and they have some nice offensive weapons.

TEAM MOST LIKELY TO COME BACK DOWN TO EARTH: Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags are thhhhhissss close to being 0-2. They beat Buffalo on a last second heave. They beat Denver by a lucky turnover when Denver had the game all but won. Now, they have the Titans and Colts next, with KC, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and Green Bay down the road. Don’t get me wrong….they can win these games and they can get into the playoffs. But, out of the 2-0 teams….they are the shakiest.

TEAM MOST LIKELY TO SURPRISE BY STAYING REALLY GOOD: New York Jets. I’m not hating on them…but they only did beat the Bengals and Chargers. Yet, the schedule is still kind to them. A bye this week. Miami, Buffalo and San Francisco after that…..a combined 0-6. Their schedule really isn’t that difficult to maneuver thru. ….though December will be a burner!

WHO IS 0-2???

Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs.

TEAM MOST LIKELY TO STAY REALLY BAD: Houston Texans. They have talent…but they’ve already lost to the Chargers and Lions, two teams they had a great shot to beat. They play in a division with the Colts, Titans and Jaguars. Also on their schedule….Chiefs, Vikings, Broncos, Packers and Jets. They also play the Bears, Browns and Raiders…all whom have shown signs of being pretty tough.

TEAM MOST LIKELY TO GET OUT OF THIS AND INTO PLAYOFFS: Kansas City Chiefs. They have talent, obviously…and they have holes [receiver, defense]. But, they are explosive enough to get back into the playoff race.

TEAM THAT COULD SURPRISE BY STAYING THIS BAD: Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They did lose two very close games….but they have rushing problems and now a QB controversy. Gruden has some issues at the receiver position and may have to bite bring McCardell back into the fold. They play in a division where, right now, pretty much every team is better than them.
