My MLB Predictions For The Year

NL EAST:  1-Atlanta...2-New York...3-Philadelphia...4-Washington....5-Florida.  I can't go against Atlanta, even though that streak will have to end at some point.  The easiest pick is the $15M Florida Marlins, who could be in San Antonio soon.

NL CENTRAL:  1-St. Louis...2-Houston...3-Chicago...4-Milwaukee...5-Cincinnati...6-Pittsburgh.  Maybe this will be the Cards' year for a title.  They should own this division.  I do like the Cubs to sneak past the Brewers this year.  I think Milwaukee's big year will be in 2007 when they can fine tune what they have now.  And, yeah, some homerism in not picking the Reds last.

NL WEST:  1-San Francisco...2-Los Angeles...3-San Diego...4-Arizona...5-Colorado.  I think the creaky old Giants have one last year in them, especially if the pitching holds up.  If not, the Dodgers are right there to smoke them out.  Nice to see a Dodgers-Giants matchup meaning so much again.  And we can't sleep on the Pads.

AL EAST:  1-New York...2-Boston...3-Toronto...4-Baltimore...5-Tampa.  You have to put the Yanks and Red Sox in the top two spots.  Toronto is easily the best of the rest.  And the O's are just happy to be steroid free again.

AL CENTRAL:  1-Chicago...2-Cleveland...3-Minnesota...4-Detroit...5-Kansas City.  The White Sox could be better this year, but so will the Tribe.  The Twins have the best pitcher in the league and Detroit could be the a surprise.

AL WEST:  1-Los Angeles...2-Oakland...3-Texas...4-Seattle.  The best race could be up top with the Angels and A's.

NL PLAYOFFS:   Atlanta, St. Louis, San Francisco, New York.
NLCS:  New York-St. Louis
NL CHAMP:  St Louis

AL PLAYOFFS:  New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland.
ALCS:  Chicago-New York
AL CHAMP:  New York

WORLD SERIES:  St. Louis overNew York
